Arizona State Parks Report
Objective
Every five years, each state in the U.S. builds a report of outdoor recreation issues to become eligible for government funding. The Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP) needs to serve as a guide for all public outdoor recreation in urban and rural neighborhoods, cities, and regions. It is a flagship report, and clear documentation is crucial for securing services funding.
Solution
Shape the approach, structure, and design of the report that will set a new standard for SCORP reporting in Arizona and beyond. Layouts and design are built to highlight the beauty of outdoor recreation and typography feels approachable in an effort to showcase public participation. The design system is easy to understand and navigate so stakeholders can find topics important to them quickly.

Establishing a new standard.
The redesigned Arizona SCORP marks a major shift in governmental reporting through engaging, thoughtful design. Upon review by the U.S. National Park Service, the bar-raising design has set the standard for other states’ reporting as they gather their future data and plans.
