Arizona SCORP
The Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP) serves as a guide for all public outdoor recreation in urban and rural neighborhoods, cities, and regions for a given state. Each state builds a report of important outdoor recreation issues every five years to be eligible for government funding. Reviewed by numerous governmental offices, including the U.S. National Park Service, the publication is crucial in documenting public involvement and securing funding in recreation services. As the designer for this flagship report, I shaped the approach, structure, and design in a way that will exemplify reporting of this nature for years to come.

Establishing a new standard.
The redesigned Arizona SCORP marks a major accomplishment for this type of governmental reporting in terms of engaging, thoughtful design. Upon review by the U.S. National Park Service, this bar-raising design has set the standard for reporting across the rest of the country as states gather their respective research and plans.
