Cranberry French 75

When I think of a classic French 75, I’m always taken back to the first time I had one. I was sipping it on a warm and sunny Seattle summer day at the Starbucks Reserve Roastery. I always think of this cocktail when I want something refreshing, light, sweet, and easy to drink.

I was inspired to make a cold weather version when I came across cranberry prosecco at the grocery store. I’m not sure if it’s only available for a limited time or not, but thought it could make for an interesting twist on the French 75, among other beverages.

Paired with gin, my Rosemary Syrup, and fresh orange juice (instead of the typical lemon), it’s something I’ll be sipping on all the way to Christmas.

What you’ll need:

  • 3 oz. cranberry prosecco

  • 1½ oz. gin

  • ½ oz. Rosemary Syrup

  • ½ oz. orange juice

  • Sugared cranberries and fresh rosemary for garnish

Make a big jar of Rosemary Syrup to use all season long. Find the recipe on my Cranberry, Orange, & Rosemary Sauce post.

Here’s how to make it:

Combine gin, syrup, and juice in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake until well chilled and strain into a champagne flute.

Top with prosecco and garnish with sugared cranberries and rosemary.
